On July 27, the Gadsden City Council approved an amendment to the zoning ordinance to allow brewery use at 200 North 6th Street with an annual output of 15,000 beer barrels in the B4 district by special exemption. Breweries producing up to 150,000 barrels annually would also be permitted in the location.
